Preschool Graduate!

So we have made it through our first graduation ceremony this year. Our little guy graduated from preschool last night. The ceremony was short, sweet and very entertaining!

As the kids received their "diplomas", their name was read along with what they wanted to be when they grew up, and why. Garrick's response? He wants to be a rock star, because he loves to play music. I really wasn't expecting that...I expected him to say he wanted to be Batman!

Our experience with La Petite the past two years has been great! The teachers are fabulous...you can tell they each have a gift with patience and teaching these little minds. Garrick has learned a lot, and made a lot of friends...including his first "girlfriend", with whom he says he is moving in!

We are so proud of our little graduate! I am excited to see him start kindergarten...I think he will be an exceptional student, just like his big brother (at least I'm hoping)!!

Starting Again...

I have attempted to start blogging a few times in the past. Lately I've felt more of an urge to work on my writing skills, and figured trying to inspire or entertain others along the way would be a bonus!

The hubs and I have been married almost 23 years, and we now find ourselves entering another new phase of life. Our oldest is getting ready to graduate from high school. We are currently knee-deep in end-of-year preparations, with contests, concerts, award ceremonies and culminating in that grandest of ceremonies, commencement. And of course, we must not forget about all the college planning!

Then there's the younger boy, who will be starting kindergarten in the fall. Yep, you read that correctly. Two boys, almost exactly 13 years apart. One graduating high school this month, one graduating preschool. So, we will be starting this whole education process all over again. Here come the school parties, field trips, box lunches...oh, so fun!

So, over the next few months (hoping I keep up with blogging this time!) you can most certainly expect to see some emotional posts, and probably lots of photography (one of my favorite hobbies that I don't get to enjoy nearly enough). We'll have two graduations, two birthdays, hopefully a family vacation etc. etc. etc.

Thanks for reading...I hope you'll stick around!  :)
